No wood there as the ad says. At least pls do not lie to the the consumers. Call it as it is, pure/genuine plastic)Got these for face painting!!The brushes are quite small but you get what you pay for and they certainly do the job. The do start to split a tad.Was very disappointed of how cheap these paintbrushes were... some of the brush actually fell out of the fastener! Didn't apply paint in a clean manner either, could see streaks. Probably good for little kids to mess with but not for serious artists for detailed paint projects.Very hood product
