I should have looked in to this more closely -- for those looking for truly "non toxic" in the strictest sense (ie, none of the numbered dyes), keep looking.First of all let me start off by saying this is a great product that suits its intentions perfectly. It is intended for people who want to face paint at a party but not professionally. Professional face paint costs about $15 to $20 PER COLOR. If you are going to be doing face painting long-term, go that route. If you want a really high quality face paint for one or two parties or however many faces the item description says you can do, this is definitely for you. With just a tiny TINY bit of water these colors go on smooth and opaque. You can do basically any traditional face paint design with these paints. The brushes that come with these are decent but you need face painting brushes if you plan on doing flowers or anything like that. They are inexpensive and if you search on Amazon you can find some for about $5. If you don't care that much about doing specific brush Strokes, the brushes that they give you will be okay, just not great. The sponges on the other hand are excellent. I do not recommend using latex free makeup wedges as they soak in the color and don't let it out. You want sponges similar to the texture that are in this kit. They're porous and soak in tons of color but they don't hold on to it at all when you press it up against skin. This is exactly what you want as you want the color to bleed out leaving an even opaque layer against the skin.Glitter in this kit is not great though. It is liquid glitter. Dry glitter is much easier to apply to wet face paint. The liquid glitter can be difficult to apply over places where you have multiple colors applied as it re-liquefies the paint, obviously because it's liquid, and causes everything to bleed or smear if you're not careful. If you plan on applying this to bare skin or over one solid color it would work okay but I really recommend getting a dry glitter that you can apply directly to wet face paint if glitter is important for the designs you want to do.Comes off really easily with just water. I like to hand out an unscented baby wipe that is designed for sensitive skin. I just put one wipe in a ziplock bag and hand it to the parent when they're kid is just sitting down to the table. Takes the color off great. It's also easier for little kids than holding their face over a sink! You may want two wipes if you plan on doing the full face.Really great kit for amateur face painters!Years of painting experience and I can tell you, if you aren't buying these, you are wasting your money. They cost a little more but they out last the rest by YEARS! A nice creamy texture. Which you control by how much water you use- they go on easy and wash off no problems. And peace of mind on little ones having reactions these are very easy on sensitive skin. The ONLY thing I had noticed in the past is that the orange does tend to stay/stain skin more than the other colors....I love these paints, but why, oh why, do they package them in this annoying box? I think they're going for a one-time-use thing, but you use so little every time that there is a lifetime of family use in here. I'm a mom who has discovered that facepaint is the easiest way for the whole family to look great for Halloween or any other costume event. It is cheap, versatile, and comfortable. I have to side giggle at people in horribly uncomfortable costumes that don't look nearly as put together as my family does, and all we needed was a cape or fun dress + Snazaroo face paint. Just check out the web for infinite face paint ideas and be in the know. Also, don't buy other greasy brands. They smear and never go on as cleanly. My daughter saw a video one day and immediately needed face paint. I knew this brand was one of the top brands, so I purchased it on that knowledge and it has lived up to my expectations. The package came a little banged up but everything was sealed. Whenever we want to play, we gather up the package, a cup of warm water, some paper towels anda few additional paint brushes and paint each other’s faces. She is 4 and can use this! We use water based baby wipes to remove the paint. The only color that is stubborn is green that leaves a yellow tinge on the skin. It requires a little soap to fully remove. We are bother super sensitive and have never had a reaction to this paint, however the glitter gel did give me a tingly “burn” once so I wiped it off immediately. It was a giant glob that she had applied- which could have been the reason. The individual colors do pop out sometimes from the plastic board, but we just laugh if it happens. We’ve painted our faces a dozen times and barely made a dent in the discs. It’s well worth the money.I really like these and I think it's a good starter buy for anyone who maybe wants do fun face paints at kids parties or Halloween looks or like myself experiment with make up for photography. It is reasonably priced and you get some good colours to get you set up. Not sure if that pack would be enough for a party as the discs of colours are not very deep but you can buy extras. The photo I took was just on my phone and without filters or touched up and the white came out really good on me (I did use some of my own brushes) This kit has helped me unleash a little of my creativity and I'm grateful for that.Absolutely great pack, brought these for my little ones birthday party. Comes with great booklet of ideas and how to guide for them. The kids love looking through and choosing and the instructions are very clear. When I first got the pack I thought the colour pots were very small but a little goes a looking way and they're the gift that keeps on giving. I also thought the sponges didn't look great and tried using my own beauty blender but the sponges that came with worked alot better for the colours. Mixing water with them is super helpful.I'd buy these again for sure but I won't be needing to for a long time yet as they keep going forever.Fab set. With this face paint set you get a small amount of all the basic colours and a slightly larger amount of black and white, two pots of glitter gel, 3 small sponges, one larger one, two brushes and a booklet with a few step by step ideas. This is all well and good, but the amount of paint given is very very little and I can't imagine would last very long. I have used the white three times and there's barely any left. The size of the 'palette' makes it difficult to get the sponges into the paints without mixing with other colours too.I would say this isn't very good value for money, yes there's a variety of colours and tools but not in large amounts. Possibly good for children to mess around with but other than that I'd choose something else next time.Very handy for those rainy days/the misery of lockdown when you're looking for ways to keep a 5 year old entertained. A good selection of colours and glitters. First pack lasted us a long time so was happy to buy a second after my daughter got creative and mixed up all the colours painting her grandad's face. Washes off fine, would probably not recommend leaving the orange/red paint on for too long (especially if you're a grown up with work the next day!) as they can leave a slight tint on the skin. Good value for money.Quality of product is fine, but I was disappointed with the quantity based on the size of the box - the paint 'pots' are thinner than a £1 coin, so they won't last very long. See photo.
