Ironton 8-Gallon ATV Spot Sprayer - 12 Volt, 1 GPM Lawn & Garden Sprayer for Weed Control, Fertilizer Application, and Pest Spraying

Product is good, everything works great.. Just wished the pump had just alittle bit more power..This sprayer mounts on our ATV perfectly.I'm so happy I won't have to lug a heavy sprayer around on my back and pump it to make it work ever again.I wish we would have bought one years ago.I received my Ironton ATV Spot Sprayer - 8-Gallon Capacity, 1 GPM, 12 Volt yesterday and put it in service today. First this is definably not a commercial sprayer, and I would not recommend it to anyone with more than an acre, however it is an excellent sprayer for anyone with a small lot or homeowner who needs to kill a few weeds or fertilize their flower garden. The sprayer is well made and very compact, however the pump is much too small as the pressure will drop within seconds after depressing the handle on the spray gun and the spray mixture will go from a nice fine spray to large droplets that will not extend more than five feet from the spray gun. My unit will defiantly not reach (spray) a vertical height of twelve feet, or a horizonal distance of twenty feet when the spray gun handle is depressed more than one second. Bottom line I am going to keep the sprayer but will likely put a larger pump on it.Easy to use. No more carrying on the shoulders or back units.I bought this to use on my 4'x600' foot gravel easement weed control in front of the property; got tired of carrying 2.5gal hand pump sprayer numerous trips. I used a couple of cargo straps to temporarily mount it to the back of my big garden tractor. Mounted easy and seemed secure with the straps, I mention the tractor is pretty big as I did notice the front wheels on wet grass did not turn very well as I suspect the center of gravity shifted with the approx 65 pounds of water weight on the very back of the tractor -but was safe to operate. Easy set up from the box. Wiring harness to the battery could have been a foot or two longer to reach the battery at the very front of tractor. Hose and sprayer worked well and put down a heavy wide pattern as you can see in the pic spraying the gravel from the tractor. I liked that the elect pump only runs when you demand output spray, stays off until you start to spray. Get what you pay for, it is made overseas but seems solid enough for occasional use Easy to fill with chemicals and water. Full disclosure I grew up working on the farm and have a degree in agriculture; not the first time spraying and operating machinery.Made a mounting bracket for mine even added a winch to it work greatNozzle is basic single screw in to adjust nozzle.Many other sprayers have a collection of interchangeable nozzles for more specific tasks like a pin point or fan etcHowever this machine works well for large area jobsEasy to use, clean out.Overall very goodFunctioned as expected. Used to fertilize the lawn.
