My first 'pro' brush was an army painter that came with one paint pack, I loved it for its results, it lasted me for 2 years of painting. So, I bought 2 more, unfortunately they are not as good as that brush, but, it is a fine brush, the tip looses its from easily but is easy to get it back to shapeI've bought and used a bunch of Army Painter's other hobby supplies (clippers, hobby drill, hobby saw, other brushes, wet palette, etc), which have all been generally great - so going in, I had zero reservations about ordering this detail brush.Unfortunately, the brush I received has never held a point while in use, and I'm convinced that it never will. It splits and fans out if you attempt a light stroke on a perfectly flat surface. Attempting highlights on the uneven surfaces of typical miniatures is out of the question. The idea of trying to work on a warhammer-scale miniature's face with this is comical. I've spent some time trying to baby it into shape with appropriate brush cleaner/conditioner, and testing it out with extremely light use with no success.I don't know if I'm just unlucky and got a dud, or what, but it's easily the worst brush I've ever tried to work with and it's headed to the trash. I'd recommend basically everything else I've ever used from Army Painter, but I'd strongly suggest finding literally anything else to use for detail work.Although it seems like a high quality brush and comfortable in the hand, the tip is terrible. Not sure if mine was used but it had some stuff stuck to the bristles and the tip was fanned out instead to pointy. The bristles didn’t hold after one painting session. I’ve bought $3 synthetic brushes that last longer. Probably won’t happen to you but there is a chance.Citadel Brushes cant even come close to how long this brush will last. All my Army Painter brushes over a year old are still immaculate, almost looking brand new. On the other hand, Citadel Brushes will last and keep their point for maybe one month of daily painting.Get these; Citadel is crap and overpriced compared to these wonderful long lasting brushes! They clean beautifully with acrylic paint brush cleaner. Like brand new.Although I have found that I prefer the Army Painter Model brushes better, due to my preference of a standard handle rather than the triangular one, this is still a very good product that will let you get detail work done when painting your miniatures.I've had other good ArmyPainter brushes in the past, but I bought 4 of these and every one was poor. The bristles frayed and separated with very first use! No fine tip at all. I'm surprised at the poor quality. The brush is completely unusable. The bristles are all flayed out. Too bad as the handle is nice.Highly recommended!ExcellentCool brushes, I recommend themGreat, as always. Recommended!
