I did the rear bumper cover of my ‘03 SL 55 in Brilliant Silber color, and obtained excellent results. My repair included priming and blending the paint. I used a white color primer for the damaged area and then masked off the undamaged area. After several light unsanded coats, I reconfigured the masking to paint the entire bumper cover. Feathered new paint area with old using wet 320 only on the boundaries. Blended old and new with three or four light coats. Finally applied several light coats of clear, then wet coat. Looks like the factory metallic finish already, and I have not even polished yet. This spray cans gave me no problems from 100% full down to zero, and the color match was very good.
